After School Club
Our after school sessions operate from 3.15pm until 6pm during term time.
Children in Primary 1 and 2 are collected from class and those in Primary 3 – 7 walk to the club through the playground.
The club currently has three main areas with children in Nursery, Primary 1 and Primary 2 based in the modular building
Those in Primary 3 – 7 are based in the main club which is situated within the school.
Throughout the session children are offered a balance of play types and both structured and non-structured activities. These include role play, construction, games & puzzles, reading, drawing, TV, quiet area and ICT.
A structured art activity is also provided each day based on children’s interests planned themes and cultural festivals.
Children have the opportunity to play outside every day or the gym hall in the event of inclement weather.
Nursery and Primary 1 children are able to play with a wide variety of resources in our enclosed garden area.
We have the use of the soft top, MUGA pitch, play equipment and grass area within the school playground for children in Primary 3 - 7.
A wide range of activities are available for the children including football, other ball games, den making, skipping and free play.
The children are offered a light snack with a choice of water, milk or juice when they arrive from school.
Snack varies daily and where possible a choice is provided to ensure children can have something they like.
Some snack examples are: crackers & cheese, plain biscuits, pancakes, toast, crusty bread, bagels, crisps and rice cakes.
We cater for children who have special dietary requirements.
Children have access to water throughout the session.
